I've been told by a usually reliable source that the refreshed Elantra GT debuting at Chicago in a few weeks will feature the new euro grille, along with the 1.6-T mated to the 7-speed DCT.

Given the recent i30 facelift, it makes a lot of sense. Btw., is the Elantra GT actually made together with the i30 in Czech republic, or Korea?

I think so? I don't have any definitive support for that though.

It's made in Korea--here's a sample VIN from a used one for sale:

The first two letters, KM, mean the car was made in Korea:

Default Another spyshot emerges

I just found this while surfing. Is this supposed to be the new Elantra?

Some sources state that 2016 Elantra will get more conservative in terms of style (similar as the new Sonata midsize sedan), but these spy pics here show the vehicle will retain most of its current attractive design.

Check the spy shots here.

Some fresh shots including a good one of the interior

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...e-and-out.html

The interior is better than what they have now but maybe not as well executed as the Sonata. Overall, a positive evolution, but will it be enough to keep pace with the Mazda3 and the potentially awesome new Civic?

I think Hyundai is focused on the real pace setter in the segment: Toyota Corolla. Sure, the Mazda3 may be the driver's car of the segment, but that doesn't rake in the sales.
