What Dieselgate?

Well, so much for VAG "apocalypse"/"sell-off"/"bankruptcy"/fear mongering. It shows the power of German Marketing (not Engineering). Customers did not care about anything, on the contrary for them the scandal was a 'buy' opportunity.

The discounts offered on even new VAG products in Europe is eye watering. Choose of dealer lot, and no one will compete with the discounts, not even close;

Plus marketing is indeed good to the level of annoyance, every magazine and YouTube channel is brimful with VAG reviews since the Dieselgate....

And all those people bought cars that are 10 years behind being current with duller-than-dull styling and mediocre reliability. Is being a VW owner mean that you're in a cult?

Just look at the used car values of VWs.

Depreciation is horrid. Great for used car buyers.

Not really given the "Audi" pricing of VW parts that will be needed for the frequent repairs. The mirror in my mom's Passat fell off the windshield. The replacement part is $350. Labor another $100.
