I've read that the USA version of the new Mazda6 is actually based on the same platform used on the Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan sedan, but with Mazda-specific suspension design. In short, the US-market Mazda6 would better compared to the 2008 Honda Accord V6 sedan models. The car may end up looking a bit different than the European-market Mazda6, which is based on the European Ford Mondeo platform.

As far as I know its all based on the CD3-2 platform. The (Euro) Mazda6 has got nothing to do with the Ford Mondeo. Its possible that the US sedan will be larger but not in wheelbase. And the nose and ass of the US Mazda6 will be slightly different. But overall; the car looks the same as ours

All the technical info in Dutch: http://www.mazda-madness.nl/nieuws/144.htm

Translation of some words:

pk = hp
tpm = rpm
lengte = length
breedte = width
hoogte = hight
wielbasis = wheelbase
Kofferruimte = bootspace
Kenteken-gewicht = weight

Those are the most imported ones. Want to know more? Just ask..

You don't need to know Dutch to read most specs. And besides, I'm not going to translate my whole website so you guys can read it. You must be happy I'm sharing these specs with you. They aren't on the Press site yet so I can't give a link with all the specs in English...

As far as I'm concerned, posting information for members isn't a service. Anyways, YOU should be happy that we're tolerating the fact that every link you post is to your website.

You know, I'm really starting to get irritated with your cocky attitude.

How the hell is that site just pictures? I have no idea what the hell a lot of those specs are. "pk"? "tpm"? WTF? "verbruik"? You have to be kidding me. You posting a link to specs is contributing to the thread, not a service. Your posting a link to specs that none of us can read is a disservice, and your attitude needs some correcting.

I ment the links above. Because he said "every link you post is to your website" and that is rubbish. The link you quote is the first link that holds information and not for pictures

I never said it was a service.. and those it really matter? We are all here to discuss about cars and give info

lol.. I'm sure you read enough specs so you can think what it could mean. pk = hp. tpm = rpm. And under "verbruik" you see l/100 km < thats not dutch so you quess that its about fuel mileage

Sorry, I didn't know this was a forum only for Americans.. These are European specs so European people do have benefit to this info. And if you don't know a word you can always ask me to translate. What a fuss about nothing..
