i guess the golf has been rebadged the rabbit now.

this is not the way to keep customers by providing previous generation cars in new makeup.

They are cheap but they have the POS 2.0L.

yeah that happened last year...does canada get everything the US gets, but slower (reminds me of the "how i met your mother" episode with robin sparkles.)?

slower? we have models you guys don't have :P

no the golf came here at the same time as in the US, and it was badged the rabbit from the beginning, I just assummed the regular 4 door was kept a the golf, but in fact it is not.

Canada gets both Jettas. At least they have both on their website. The "City" line was just a subcompact created by Volkswagen without having to create a new model. They are much cheaper also. I think it's a great idea, VW should import a few over to the US.

Yep, they sell the last-generation Golf and Jetta along with the new Jetta and the Rabbit. It's starts at around $14,000USD for both models. It's targeted at the Corolla and the Elantra.
