Default 2019 Audi Q8

Personally I like the look, it is quite aggressive and sleek.

that looks really good. I'm still surprised at how strikingly beautiful the A5/S5 is in person, and i think this will be similarly beautiful in the flesh.

The face is hideous. The tail is excellent. The middle is OK.

Heaps better than the tank-like Q7. Again though, the tail reminds me more of a Lambo than Audi.

Sums it up well. Altogether it looks okay (face aside), much better than the hideous Q7, but - compared to the fastback"coupe utes" X6 and GLE - also not that different to a regular Audi CUV. Not sure if this will help or harm in perception as a "CUV coupe".

I do however think that calling a 230-340hp SUV a "Sport Quattro" for this generation is a bit of a very far stretch of marketing bull****.

Whilst I do understand the need to offer a cross over in every niche, given the plethora of VAG cross overs of every size, power and price already available, I doubt this will bring too many new customers to the Volkswagen group, but rather cannibalize Cayenne, High end Q5, Q7 and of course A6/A8 sales (the very few that are not bought as a company car on a scheme anyway).

Indeed. What it looks like is a Q7 restyling rather than a CUV coupe version.

Funny, I like the face better than the tail. At least Audi is FINALLY taking some design risks. This is probably the most courageous design since the 2011 A8... maybe even the first TT

I thought the front looked horrid in a teaser pic, but it makes sense when you can see the rest of the car. I'm also glad that they're using the interior from the A8, instead of the rather avante garde design of the A6 interior....

I detest the face. Messy, garish, overwrought. It's everything wrong with Audi today. They are completely losing it with their detailing skill. What happened to the elegant minimalism of the Prologue concepts?

There was so much promise in this clean and wide approach. Instead we get this Frankenstein? Why is there a giant gray plastic piece around the grille? Why are the headlights so large? What is that black void below them (fog lamps??)? What is the point of the vertical chrome slats in the grille? It's using a horizontal structure so it just reads as a big checkerboard. And why are they still doing fake exhausts??? How is that acceptable for a luxury car? (this is a serious problem from ALL the Germans right now...)

The rest is totally fine though. I like the rear. It's relatively clean. The interior is futuristic and sleak, but I'm sure it'll be a pain to actually use.
