yes we've see this general design 10000 times, but that still looks really sharp and fresh. black paint and big wheels doesn't hurt.

Facelift spied; Outside, not much changes, except for larger fake grilles in the front bumper. At least they seem to house some radar sensors, that, in the A6/7, are rather ungainly housed in the middle of the grille. The solution here looks way more elegant, kind of like fog lights.

Otherwise, except the usual updates in terms of engines and infotainment, although there are rumors in German magazines that it might get an all new interior (basically the same one that is in the A8/7/6 and Q8, with more screens)

The parade of visual boredom continues.

Honestly hope for Audi's sake that the next gen A4 will look a bit more dynamic. Then of course buyers could just get a A5 sportback if they want something better looking.

Assuming that the Q5 is a best seller, maybe Audi should just get rid of the A4 and A5 and just do a Q5 and an A5 Sportback for the next gen. Doubt that'd lose much in sales....

Well, in Europe, the A4 (as all VAG sedans) is a huge fleet success, with the vast majority of sales going towards company car buyers. Only the fewest are bought by private customers, who nowadays indeed will choose a A5 SB or a Q5 over an A4 (though, realistically, price wise the Q3 is more comparable). Just like the Camry, it might not be a private owners dream, but the big numbers that also mean long servicing contracts (and all repairs done at official dealers) make it crucial to Audi financially. Also, the fleet targeting means it will always look dull, just like a Passat or Superb will.

Again, always very interesting to hear about the ROW (rest of world).

I don't mind the looks of the A4, although the size creep means that an A3 is more what I would like at, personally. Just wish the A3 had a less, er, spartan interior....

Personally I wouldn#t describe the A3's inteiror spartan, it is very well built and IMO more tastefull in applaing decorative touches then the overwhelming amount of shiny bits and metal frames around all switches in the newest batch of German premium cars, but I guess you mean tech wise, compared to the newer Audis with all their screens. That I guess will soon be solved with a new A3, after all the currnet car is already around since 2012 and was the first MQB car, so likely will launch the first round of MQB gen.2 cars after the Q3 soon switches to MQB.......
