I saw one of these on the truck today. The truck was loaded with F-150's on the top and new Mustangs at the bottom, it was a white one and the roof was all black whcih seemed weird, so this explains it.

Headline: Fixed glass roof

Coming next summer, which is appropriate time enough, but I'd still get spend the extra 2k (on top of the 2k fixed glass roof) and get the 'vert, given the choice.

Anything else new? Looks like option enhancements only.

Similar to the "Scenic Roof" of the Saleen S281...

The Scenic roof has only one seam(cutline) at the back when it meets the rear window.

It took long enough considering the concept had it back in 2004.

I guess they were saving it for a later date... so they would have something new(like special editions, new options, and new colors) to offer to keep people interested until the facelifted model comes out.

I wonder if it's electronic glass (i.e. the kind that can be tuned from full dark to clear). This would be a real egg fryer in Bakersfield when it's 110 degrees.

It's not electrochromatic glass but it's no doubt UV-tinted and will have a rolling shade to pull across as needed.

I like this, I really think it's a neat little touch, if one I would seldom use.
