Do you think that "Discontinued" might be a better label instead of "Legacy?"

I'd say no. Particularly if we're talking about a previous generation vehicle that is still being made, just in a new generation, the vehicle hasn't been "discontinued."

I'll say one thing, the Legacy section isn't apparent from the front of the website and there isn't a single post yet.
If I were a new member it would be a while before I found out there was a Legacy section.
As for the term Legacy, if it's not an old Subaru model, it's outdated software/hardware.

Same is true for the auto show thread, etc. now too. And they'll see the legacy section thread as soon as they go into the New Cars section.

As to your second point, I'm pretty sure that's exactly why the name "legacy" was used...because of the same term's use for software/hardware, etc.

Ay Dios Mio - people wanted a section to talk about older cars.
It's hidden. Sorry, but it's hidden. The 10 people who post here regularly know about it.

do you really think there are going to be TONS of threads about older cars in the first place? i'm sure it was hidden, in part, because there are infrequent posts about older vehicles, which is how this started in the first place when the ZDX thread was resurrected (which is the first time that has happened in years). same reason auto shows were moved into concept cars...because there have basically been no threads made in a year.

If you dislike it so much, then message Ascariss, or direct this at him. I had nothing to do with it, so you can say it's hidden to me all you want...it's not going to change anything.

You were right. A message to the mod would have been better. I apologize for directing my reply to you.
As for older cars. I'm from the viewpoint that if you come here to discuss cars, then you 99.9% of the time have some sort of interest in older cars. I remember when this site opened up years ago and how much I would have loved a section dedicated just to the old clay/style proposals - some of them are insane but really interesting.
Again, I'm sorry for directing my reply at you.

Just a friendly reminder but this was originally a thread to discuss these things and Ascariss is actively pursuing some of the recommendations. Allegro offered a constructive criticism and we really shouldnt discourage such.

Thanks - this is my second login into this site. My first died for some reason so I created a second but that was over 10 years ago. The first was shortly after I discovered the site.
I'm not here to cause issues but sometimes when I read the comments it sounds like a bunch of 10 year-olds fighting.
A thread about old cars is good. A thread about old cars with mature discussion is even better.
I have confidence in the thread being created. The mature discussion is something yet to be seen.
Thanks for you comments - appreciated!
