Here's something of an idle thought...

It's truly a sign that time has marched on when the cool, trendy and hip Generation Xers from the 1990s (a.k.a the Pearl Jam set, or to the 90s what the "Millennials" are to today) are now basically throughout their 40s, with the older ones being in their late-40s/early-50s now. This is on the level of what I caught on the news recently, a report of The Beatles being presented to school-children in class, and being labeled as "their grandparent's music".

Here's and idle thought, and on a day that it snowed by me...

It's funny that when it snows, people will hope to stay home from work or school, or get dismissed early, and whine if they have to go in or stay. However, if the bar or nightclub closes, or a band cancels a performance as a result of the same snowfall, then they'll all whine and moan saying it's not much snow and the roads are fine.

Goofy idle thought for the day...

If Blondie's "Call Me" was released today, in stead of circa-1980, would it have maybe been either, Text Me, e-Mail Me, Message Me, or Inbox Me, or, generally, maybe Hit Me Up?

Here's a goofy and idle thought for the day, and one fitting for Halloween coming up...

On many classic Casper the Friendly Ghost animated-shorts, the other, and larger, more aggressive ghosts mock, razz and berate Casper for wanting to make friends, but, aren't all the other ghosts friends with each-other?!

Goofy idle thought for the day, and Halloween...

Could the animated Halloween classic, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", be displaying some indications of political-incorrectness and even child-abuse. The Peanuts gang are out trick-or-treating, and in the dark, without parental-supervision (unless they are present, but off-camera), Linus remains unsupervised in a deserted pumpkin-patch, and has younger Sally with him, and the Halloween Party at Violet's is unsupervised (unless her parents are there, but off-camera, too). Also, Linus remains deserted in the Pumpkin Patch until Lucy (again, unsupervised by an adult or parent), set out at 4:00AM, to go rescue her freezing brother, and bring him back home.

It seems to be hinted that automobile dealership can be something like go-go strip-dancers - one will appear to be friendly and accommodate you until they get the deal done, and the other will lead you on, until they get their tip, then they will each distance themselves from you.

Goofy, idle thought for the day...

You know that you're chronologically older, or years have passed, when buildings you remember being constructed, are being knocked-down to make room for something newer.

Goofy idle thought for the day (and for Holiday-time)...

If Ebenezer Scrooge is as cheap and stingy as he was, before the ghost's lessons, why did he initially turn down his nephew Fred's Christmas Party invitation, which provided a free spread of gourmet-style food fit for royalty?

He also didn't like Christmas.
