Wow impressive. Like the wooden touches inside. btw any reason why you decided to make the window quite vertical in the front? On the account of increased air resistance.

all of the windows are at a negative angle - simply cause it's really bad for self-driving. i've put alot of big and small reminders that it's autonomous, so the angles are part of that. my supervisor was all-in on the windows idea and said it shouldn't cause too much problems (he's got the mechanic background too haha), so i trusted him on that..
other clues btw are the front lights - only "look at me" lights instead of helping you see to a distance at night.. the back lights which are in the middle of the car (and doesn't indicate "where the car ends") etc... :)

imho it's more '''honest''' than RR's ginormous 2-seater

was specifying drivetrains part of the project?

Although I've noticed a highway image, if the intended driving scenario is primarily urban then aero makes practically no difference. It's only after 50mph or so air resistance is a big factor

Thanks for sharing! Questions (from a non-designer!):

1. Why are negative angle windows bad for self driving?

2. Why do you *want* the car to "announce" itself via its design that it's autonomous?

3. How much height clearance do you need for the canopy top to open???

here are my answers :)

1. Why are negative angle windows bad for self driving?
the negative angle of the glass reflects a distorted image to the driver, might not make it impossible to drive, but it's not ideal for self driving (the words of my supervisor haha he studied engeneering before doing his MA in car design)

2. Why do you *want* the car to "announce" itself via its design that it's autonomous?
personally, i'm not sure about that issue. but for the excercise i (\we? the supervisor etc.) wanted to see if and how it's posible to create a new icon for a car, once all the elements can be easily moved around from the known architype of a car

3. How much height clearance do you need for the canopy top to open???
the door probably needs alot of clearence to open up, so it won't be easy doing it in garages etc. BUT take in mind that because it's fully autonomous the passengers won't have any interactions with any kind of parking. the car will be summoned to the front door when you want it to, and when you arrive to wherever it is you wanted to go, it will drop you off at the entrance and then drive itself to the parking.. my supervisor also suggested the same mechanism the tesla has, where it sops if it sees an obstacle in the door's way

did i answer everything?
