I doubt that and am willing to bet against them pulling out. Mitsubishi isn't Suzuki.
Suzuki is a healthy company but with products that are better suited to some overseas markets (mainly Japan).
Mitsubishi's planned product line should appeal to US consumers. In a couple of years they will be reintroducing the Montero built on a monocoque chassis, a brand new Oulander Sport and a heavily facelifted Outlander. Based on the concepts, their upcoming product line, new designs and corporate fascia in particular should look very nice.
One thing they have under their sleeves is hybrid-electric technology, which will be available in most of their SUVs.
So the outlook is positive.
