Default 2019 Toyota RAV4

Looks like the next gen RAV4 might be taking a few design cues from the Tundra/Tacoma, going by that grille...

it is mostly grille unless they forgot to strap on most of the front end and this is just a chassis / interior / suspension mule

To me this looks a lot like the FT-AC concpet of recent, with the usual less dramatic lines here and there:

It does look like it will be a production version of the FT-AC concept. Not great as that was nothing special.

I really dislike squared-off fender flares. I thought they looked dumb on GM pick-ups and they're probably gonna look even worse on something like a RAV4.

Agree with you 100%. I really hope they won't make it into production.

Wish Toyota would just give this to Mazda to style.

I actually fear that as Toyota "collaborates" Mazda into submission, Mazdas will get more garish.

official teaser, the rel deal will be at the New York Auto Show; Kind of went quickly form the first spyshot.

And it does seem that it will look a lot like the FT-AC concept.

Looks quite substantial, perhaps almost the same length as the original Highlander. The Auris was unusually conservative for a Toyota, so perhaps this will also be spared the ugly stick. Silhouette does indeed seem to mirror the concept. Wonder if there will be a full EV version of this....
