I'm trying to remember which magazine I saw this in, i want to say Car and Driver, but I thought the GT clocked a 3.5 60. Also I would say Automoile magazine doesn't seem to be as "accurate" as others. Road and Track, Car and Driver seem to have the most consistant #'s.

You saw it in Oct '05 issue of Motor Trend on page 48. I figured Chevy would underestimate the performance due to their past overestimates. I was expecting 3.6 or better. No surprise here. Blue Devil will be in the low 3's. Will only lose to specialty cars like the 1000Hp Saleen twin turbo, Koenigsegg, and a few like those. If it doesn't beat the Carrera GT, there is no point to it.

yea, why not? The vette is easily one of the best sports cars around, especially for it's price...If you want a true performer you buy a vette...if you want to show off what you can buy with your money and spend it on something you will rarely ever drive, you'll buy the highly overpriced supercar...not to say it can't perform, they can hold their own, but if a car a fraction of the price can give it a run for it's money and then some and can still be used as a daily driver, then wouldn't the vette come out as a better car? Atleast in terms of performance and value? Sure, it may not have the rare, exotic, interior materials or the best looking interiors (though it isn't horrible and it isn't all that cheap), but really, if you want to get down to it, true race cars are actually gutted of any interior whatsoever, yet you wouldnt be complaining about that...the vette is no different, except it actually has a decent interior...

The Z06 clocked a 7m 42.99s time (http://www.autoweek.com/article.cms?articleId=103066). The Blue Devil has a legitimate shot at beating the Carrera GT's time of 7m 32s in my opinion. I would imagine the Enzo beating this time as well. We can only wait and see.

well, the Z06 numbers have been posted and it achieves 0-60 in 3.5 in 1st gear...so depending on how well the Blue Devil can get the traction to the ground it should be a whole hell of a lot faster...

I can imagine the blue devil beating the Carrera GT, but not the Enzo. The Enzo packs a punch, but the Carrera GT was designed to beat the Enzo on all of its test tracks, and while the margin was usually narrow, it did. I imagine that the 'ring would not be different from the others.
