The tail is one helluva blobular hot mess. It's like they couldn't decide what to actually do with it so they just slapped **** on in AutoCAD and called it a day.

There are some nice tails out there in this class: Dart, Elantra,...

This looks great, rear lights remind me of a some previous kia but overall a stylish hatch. Styling also has previous gen astra feel to it, which is not a bad thing.

Agree about the Astra vibe, and altogether, this is looking very neat

Great looking hatch, arguably best looking in class. Here's hoping reliability issues don't let the side down this time round.

Can we merge this with the existing Cruze thread, or indicate in the title that this thread is for the hatchback?

They so need to do a Cruze SS. That's a great looking vehicle. The Cruzeosity has grown on me.

I think it looks fine. Will they produce a hot hatch to compete w/ the GTI, Focus, etc...? GM clearly has the know-how....

This looks quite good, though I don't particularly care for the color. The main thing that bothered me on the Cruze sedan, the cheater panel in the C-pillar, is much less intrusive here (in fact the sedan should have used this one, seeing as it appears to share rear doors it wouldn't be disruptive to the rest of the design -ah well). The front end is also growing on me. The rear end is well done, much better than the old Cruze hatch.

An SS or some type of hot hatch would be great to see, they could just use parts from the upcoming GSi or OPC since this is essentially the new Astra underneath. But who knows if that will happen...
