If it will be visually a Mini Atlas, well, excitement levels will not be all over the place...

And that is precisely the reason that VW will never prosper here. It is incapable of building a competitive vehicle for a competitive price. Other brands are able to pack good value into very reasonable prices all without compromising build quality, reliability and durability. VW can't match that.

VW thinks that just decontenting (sic) their vehicles is all they need to do. VW will never understand.

This line from the piece was troubling: "There’s a chance that a manual transmission will be offered to keep the base price well below $25,000...". That's 20% more expensive than a Trax. But hey, at least it will have VW new longer warranty to make owning it much less of a financial drain.

I'm sure the name we get will suck as well. I seriously just hate VW now. They shouldn't even bother with the US market anymore.

Serious question: can it suck more than T-Roc? I think that's pretty horrible.

I'm sure if VW saw this they would simply reply with "challenge accepted."

"Atlas" is not a bad name. It's just that the car is so... plain.

I don't think anyone is complaining about "Atlas."
