So, a less ridiculous version of the Maybach mess?

I wouldn't have even thought of that, had you not mentioned it. But there are some undeniable similarities.

Looks like the Panamera will be getting some additional competition. Does the CLS sell in large enough numbers to justify its cont'd existence? I imagine taking the next CLA a bit more upscale and then having this would be enough. How many coupesedans does a single make need?

The German premium brands are indeed just copying each other, when one brand has a successful model, the others follow soon. Is it SUV coupes, one sausage different length design approach or stopping design development at all. Or the A-Class that after 2 generations of being an interesting technical approach became a FWD 1 series. Yes, the strong badges sell of these, no matter what

Kudos to Porsche that so far their models are the least of "look what the others do".

The headlights are reminiscent of... a Mustang.

The side and back styling looks more like a mid-sized CamCord competitor with a truck face grafted on than a high flying Benz. The face is brash. The rest is subtle. That makes it a rather incoherent design.

Oh, gawd, it's like they took the GLC or GLE coupe and flattened the roof. Yikes. The GLC coupe is actually decent looking; the GLE, not so much. We'll see how this turns out....
