I'm looking forward to first drives. With the '08 Taurus it seemed all Ford cared about was making it soft and quiet. Which is nice, and it didn't seem to impact the handling according to most of the reviews, but the way their PR for the new one talks about "Ford handling DNA" and such is encouraging...I'm hoping for best-in-class handling =D

I'm not sending my girlfriend over, Lucy is staying put! :nono:

*wakes up from a beautifull dream and realises Lucy isn't his girlfriend, sobs a bit, and then goes back to sleep*

I'm reluctant to send pinder. Didn't realise she was big in America. Well, she's big full stop I guess.

You could have Billie Piper or i'm even willing to send my darling Amy Winehouse over.

Some more live shots, courtesy of Jalopnik:

Are those LED foglights or just chrome strips? hmm...

Also note the greenish-blue Taurus in one of the pictures (which for some reason won't show up here) that really highlights the design's Interceptor-ness.

Wow, I just noticed another tie-in between the Taurus and Interceptor: the character line.

The fender vent on the Interceptor, for one thing, is similar in shape and vaguely related in detail to the Taurus'. Then there's a subtle crease that goes backwards from the fender vent, like the much more exaggerated, Mondeo-esque slash on the Taurus, and exactly like on the Taurus, it droops down towards the rear. I hadn't noticed that before; I thought only the greenhouse and rear end were taken from the Interceptor, but apparently more of the styling is shared between the two cars than I had noticed previously. While I still don't really like the droopiness of the Taurus' side slash, the fact that it derives from the Interceptor makes me appreciate it more.

Meh. It's a decent looking car but I don't want one.

The front looks good. The rest of the car, though, doesn't get along with it well. The rear is just bland. The Accord is ugly but to me it looks more "new" and more striking than this, so I'll take the Accord over this.
The Altima and Mazda6 beat both of them.

The rims are just ugly. And they're chrome. And the chrome mirrors look horrible.

There's something about the car that makes it look cheap and fake. Maybe its the plasticky grills and the side vents and the chrome and the wheels.

And Ford need to stop doing retro. PLEASE.

I think the Fiesta is just amazing, but I'm disappointed with this.

Now this one below is also a Taurus Limited, but why does it have dual exhausts?

This can't be the EcoBoost model, because that would be the SHO...
