I'm pretty sure you will have that soon at Ryan Air, and once Uber has self driving cars, there as well....

I didn't really understand when conventional SUVs added a coupe variant, and I def don't get this at all (since the Cayenne wasn't exactly boxy to begin w/). I'd be surprised if this added much volume, but if you're rolling in dough, why not add silly variants? ::sigh::

this is more of Porsche to me than the regular Cayenne, which was always a little too convention of an SUV.

I agree, the regular Panamera also feels more Porsche now than it did before, and this having a similar greenhouse should feel more Porsche as well (at least visually, not 2 ton plus SUV will veer be a sports car).

I just feel that this might at some point kill the regular Cayenne, after all that isn't the world's most practical SUV, so why not go the for one that also looks like a Porsche?

But the first generation Cayenne could go off-road (and break down). But yes, the Cayenne should always have been an X6 or ZDX.

I'd do:

Cayenne = Porsche "X7"...big, stylish, and fast
Cajun = Cayenne coupe

Coupe will be more expensive and some customers might need space of a regular Cayenne - so why not keep them both? At least for now. This way they have wider market coverage, without diluting the brand image.

B/c Bentayga. What would look better next to your Cayenne coupe than that? And it still keeps it all in the MLB family (and w/ presumably heftier profit margin than you'd get w/ a Q7 or standard Cayenne)....

As long as the Cayenne sells, there is no reason to get rid of it.
