If Hyundai-Kia were to buy FCA, I believe Chrysler would die because it would serve no purpose. Genesis would morph into Maserati which would end the days of the Chrysler 300 Maseratis. Alfa Romeo's revival in the USA has been an abject failure, so ditching it would be no loss. Alfa needs to be re-reinvented downmarket as a turbo-AWD niche brand like Subaru. A Fiat 500 hat could go on the Accent and keep the Fiat name alive, but the Koreans will not prop up failure very long. And there is a LOT of failure in FCA: Alfa-Romeo, Maserati, Fiat, Lancia, and Chrysler.
