I think it's a very strongly styled SUV, and will sell in droves.

I'm really confused at the internet's reaction.

To your first point, I agree.
To you second point, it's obviously ugly hence the adverse reaction as well as bastardizing the name.

When this doesn’t sell I wonder who’s gonna get the blame

Who says it's not going to sell? It'll probably be a decent driving, adequately finished, respectable all around large/midsized SUV. And from a company that's all-American as you can get.

If bad looks were enough to sink a car, any peak Bangle-era BMW and all modern Toyotas would have destroyed the company. Clearly, the buying public doesn't car much about aesthetics (sadly enough)....

I think it looks great, it has a quality look about it which reminds me of both Mazda and Lexus. This should be a big hit.

For those sages who are predicting this will be a big hit, why? Chevy does not have a big hit in its entire auto and CUV lineup. Only its trucks and Suburban/Tahoe are hits (one could argue the trucks are teetering a bit as Ram comes on strong). So again, why? Reality is not on your side.

I think it looks pretty fantastic. The Traverse is similarly attractive but more subdued.

I think the Camaro vibes actually work here (especially the interior which was great to begin with).
Nice headlights and detailing around the front. No awkward chrome bars (cough Hyundai). The rear end kind of falls flat for me. Somewhat bulbous taillights compared to the sleek headlamps. The D pillar looks ripped from an RDX.

This should not be called the Blazer though. Why tarnish a great offroading nameplate with a unibody crossover?
