Looks nice and sharp - can't wait to see it on Aussie roads as an Opel (thankfully not as a Buick - sorry, not a fan of the grille)

Oddly enough I think the Buick grille suits the car.

I think the car looks great. What's not to like?

Agreed about the looks.

What's not to like though? The Name, size, resulting weight, and the so-so engines and thus not so premium performance. Though that goes for all new Opels and is not exclusive to the Cascada.

Cascada is very close to an American dishwasher detergent name (Cascade). This is so perfect fort NA it's frightening.

Cascada is also a so-so Euro Dance act played in not so exclusive holiday resorts....

I do agree it is perfect for the US, let's be honest, the closest competitor is the Chrysler 200 (and it's Lancia badged version), it will be quite large for Europe for a non premium car (and no, an Opel Astra, no matter what they call it, is not yet there to go against an Audi A5 or BMW 3 series; Even a Volvo C70, though older, might feel more desirable for the brand conscious people usually shopping for a large 4 seat convertible here), as all other CCs (308, Megane, Eos) are smaller and cheaper (well, the VW likely not).

Butr in the US, whatever badge it ends up with (and Buick being the logical choice), I see no reason for not being an absolute success (as long as it is priced reasonably)

Will it come with a catchy Eurodisco CD in the stereo too??? Here, it's competition would be the horrid Chrysler 200:vomit:, the laughably overpriced Eos, the flabby Beetle Cabrio, and then similar priced convertibles: Mini, Miata
