I will forgive the Mirai for looking hideous since it is a fuel cell car but the Prius is much more mainstream and should at least look somewhat like it wasn't styled by a blind monkey.

I refuse to believe this is accurate. No f*cking way. Even as someone who generally is ok with Toyota/Lexus' out-there designs, this is just pure ugly. Honestly. W. T. F.

The faces. Dear god that green one is beyond ugly. It's a caricature of itself. It makes the Mirai and current Priuslook handsome. There is NOTHING coherent about this design at all. The belt liens, the greenhouse, the bumpers. What is Toyota smoking??? Why is so hard to grasp the fact that normal-looking hybrids have a better reputation that the weird ones?

Totally fake, clearly chopped from existing car(s). Anyone who posts regularly in our "Member Photoshops" could have done better.

God I hope it doesn't look like that chop. But the prototype in the spy shots looks distressingly similar. That would be a real shame, since the current Prius is not bad-looking for what it is.

Here's some REAL spy photos of the Prius:

http://priuschat.com/threads/i-think...153134/page-12

You'll note they have a fuel filler door on the driver's side, the cars in the renderings have no fuel filler opening whatsoever.

The basic lines of the render do seem to match the real car though.

Still ugly.

I'm not sure why Toyota insists on using toothing rings as tires as well. Always been a pet peeve of mine with any auto manufacturer (YES, I'm looking at you Honda) - make a good looking product than under-wheel it.

Specifically in the case of the Prius and Prius v, aerodynamics and weight.
