They could have made the rear cheaper, simpler and easier on the eyes all at the same time.

Instead they did GM.

Hatch is great tho, hope it gives the Focus hatch a run.

2019 facelift. Not as bad as the Malibu, but still too gaping and chromey. I can't help but think it would look 100% better if the chrome between the upper and lower grilles were split.

Get rid of the upper grille entirely.

If GM ever tries to relaunch Chevrolet in Europe, I hope they do something different with the front end. It's somewhat... vulgar.

Arguably, though, it's much more attractive than what Toyota does and I'm no fan of the Chevy face.

I guess that depends on what Toyota you're comparing it to.

Such pretty GM cars coming out. Everything looks so nice.
Then go to a dealer. Sorry, never again.
They need to take control of what happens at the dealer. Until then, never another GM product.

However, with Toyota, you buy their cars despite their design, in case of Chevy I'm not so sure. Also, we know GM can do much better faces and generally better designs. With Toyota, few of their regular cars are real lookers, best is an okay looking design (and I do drive one, despite the very mundane design;))

Not really. All of their cars have the big mouth jester face with the exception of the Subaru they sell as a Toyota.

They do look alright (this included), but quality / reliability have been a problem for GM cars here in Australia. The previous Cruze was abysmal in this regard - we had quite a few in our work fleet (now replaced) and they had numerous issues (the primary problems were water ingress into the interior and several with the same engine overheating issues). Absolute rubbish they were.
