Hmm....swoopy looking...potentially attractive...no MG DNA...maybe it doesn't matter.

That name has been used millions of times. Low excitement about this so far.

Introducing the Mazda 6 coup... er MG E-Motion

http://www.carscoops.com/2017/04/mg-...g-look-at.html

Seriously, did they just find a disposed of proposal for a Mazda coupe? This has zero MG or British DNA. It is very good looking, but not at all original for an MG.

I'm not sold on the rear end, in particular the odd-ball tailights. But otherwise, it's nice enough.

Maybe it's a China-only thing. If this were produced tomorrow, who would take it seriously? This would make a great looking Buick. If Buick did this as a Riviera or an Electra people would go WOW! But this is MG, a long-defunct brand, and being disparaged further by being resurrected as an assembler of knocked-down kits.

It also has more than just a hint of Ford Evos concept in it. Yes, not unattractive, but with so zero MG DNA(even the badge lost it's shape), why even bother with the name?

Something with a hint of MGB in both name and design could do wonders to put the brand back on the map, and then sell the random small hatchbacks/SUVs they already produce.....
