Default 2019 Hyundai Nexo FCV

Debuted at CES, 370 mile range, on sale later this year.

No official interior shots yet, but we've seen the production-ready interior when it was a concept:

Does this look a bit better than the concept? I remember thinking that the concept had a weird combo of very-current and rather dated detailing/styling. This looks much more cohesive, IMHO.

Perhaps the interior will get a bit of a tweak, too, from concept to production.

Depending on price and availability of clean-fuel rebates, I certainly be interested in such a car.

Do we know how big the car is?

A very good looking cross over, with concept car styling kept mostly intact; good job

It generally looks quite good. But the face is a little too busy and looks rather awkward from some angles.

The main question: is it off-road capable?

i like the D pillar treatment, interesting but less fussy than a lot of other Japanese designs.

I have to think Hyundai would have been smarter (1) to make it an EV and (2) to market it as a Genesis. FCV just isn't viable without infrastructure.

but.... isn't FCV an EV? just that electricity needed for propulsion comes out of "different source" than "16 tones" of batteries...

and I have to say that, with that C4 Aircross D pillar and DLR stripes above main head lights, it looks like a "fake" (read rather bland and unimaginative) Citroen... .

though, respect and applause for FCV technology...

I think what swizzle means is that a plug-in is probably more convenient for most people b/c of huge lack of hydrogen fuel station..... At least in the US.

Truth be told, he's probably right. I do think, though, that hydrogen probably makes more sense in the long term, if the infrastructure can be built. I can't imagine that Toyota, Honda, MB, and Hyundai could all be wrong, esp w/ the development $$$ they must be spending.
