The station wagon, called Sports Tourer:

http://www.autoweek.nl/nieuws.php?id=9528

IMO looking good, even though the back has quite some Audi in it.....
ANd whow, at 4,91m, this is one large car. bigger than an E-Class T model.....

Everything exterior wise, bar the entire tail design. The side profile along with the C-Pillar is perfect, but the tail looks bloated. I certainly don't see Audi there, as there is a subtle elemant of style with an Audi, this is horrid. If the tail lights didn't wrap around so much and the bumper-line didn't curve around the edge of the bumper, it would look a lot lightler and less bulky.

IMO the Insignia looks much better and more premium than the Passat

Far out, in those pictures Cossie posted the car looks sloppy and fat? I actually prefer the look of the Passat, but a large margin in those shots. The Insignia look very unresolved, short and fat. The headlights look awkward, but the rear is still beautiful.

I think its problem is that is lacks confidence in its DNA if its makes any sense. Like it looks special, it looks premium and all as well as handsome but it doesn't have the brand confidence "look" that other might have. I dunno, i might be dribbling BS here! It is a bit fat though yeah

Looking at these new pictures of the sedan, it looks great but narrow (same problem with the new Mazda6) I dont know if it is the height that makes it looks narrow or just that it is narrow. Whats the width like when compared with the new Mondeo?

As for the Sports Touring, I like it (especially the side view) but not the back. The rear lights and rear tail gate look wrong. I dont know why they would spoil such a nice car with that rear.

Other news... The Insignia is coming to Australia as a Holden. It will sit above the Epica and target the Mazda6, Accord Euro etc while the Epica will take on the Camry and other Korean mid-size sedans. Which versions will make it to Australia is unknown as the car will come here late next year

I really love the design of the rims in these latest pics. One of the cars at the London show had them, and they are really striking.
