Not really. This is based on LY, not the LX platform that the Charger and 300 are based on, so its going to weigh more.

so if challenger is on the LY platform, would that imply that future cars also on that platform will get similar interior switchgear?

Middle aged men will swarm around this thing. I predict it'll be primarily engineers making roughly $55k-$70k a year.
