Default 2021 Volkswagen Atlas (facelift)

Bringing it in line with the upcoming 5-door Atlas Cross Sport, no doubt:

The Atlas desperately needs a facelift. The face is too high somehow. It's not ugly, but there's just something off in the look.

Agreed. It's also VERY square between the rectangular grill and block-shaped headlights. Hopefully this improves that.

Couldn't come soon enough and this still ain't it chief. What I despise the most is the cheap, chunky and bland sheet metal between the tail lights and the DLO. I also agree the grill looks too high on the current model.

I agree, but I doubt this facelift is going to change that a lot; Most of the metal still seems to be unchanged, so probably just new LED graphics in the lights, a slightly different grille and a new infotainment screen inside...

The problem with the Atlas--and all VWs really--is that they are class trailing designs rather than class-leading designs. With the Explorer being a major design leap for the segment, now that VW is collaborating with Ford, they should look into borrowing the Explorer to replace the Atlast and the dismally bad Toerag.

I just can't stop thinking it looks more like a tank missing its turret....

It's like the Atlas has the nose of a 10% larger vehicle.

Awkward body lines. Poorly detailed. Could be from 2013.

Maybe with this updated is could pass for a 2015 model.

Maybe VW could reskin the Explorer and create a class-leading design.
