Interesting. The engine and driveline placement largely defines the front and rear suspension hard points and structural bulkheads which in turn define the fundamental proportions then the dimensions of the body. Not saying this cant be done but such flexibility could negatively impact end product optimization. A transverse rear wheel drive vehicle would be strange!
Unless this D6 is an architecture which then permutates into more unique platforms encompassing those different drivetrains.
