Apart from the obviously wider body, I think indeed the rounded edges of the windows show most clearly that this seems pretty much "all new but looking old". And it#s not stupid. It works for Jeep with the Wrangler, and Mercedes would be stupid to mess with a car that sells strong, has ridiculously high residuals and all that since nearly 40 years.
Teh interior looks plausible, the G-Modell always shared many interior bits with the current E-class model (and before W123/W124 models), and this just looks the same way, the standard - not fully digital - instrument cluster plus some switches and other bits form the E-Class pressed into a boxier surrounding...
