I've only seen the cross country versions. I like it, but, in terms of presence, I find the E400 more capitvating. Perhaps the "regular" V90 would make more of an impression.

I also wish that Volvo would re-think the ride/handling balance. I haven't driven any of the current gen, but some reviews (mainly CR) indicate that the ride is still far too stiff for a luxury car. Virtually any modern car handles well enough. I want a cosseting ride when I'm spending $60,000+.

I suspect the V60 will not be much/any better, in that respect.
