Do you really find the current BMWs to be garish? I think BMW went arch-conservative and boring after the Bangle-era designs.

I think some new BMWs (specifically thinking 7 series or X7, but, to a certain extent, also the smalle rmodels) look super conservative in shape, but are actually garish at the detailing; Same inside, an old theme borrowed form smaller models upscaled and tarted up with features and even more added trim and LEDs...

M3 caught with part of this large grill showing its face. Yes it has a top grill as well but I guess only temporary.

I'll be so glad once BMW reaches the kidney only face, so then they can start to wrap around the kidney towards the front doors....
