can you say "perfect timing".... GMs probably not too happy.

I had no clue Ford was going to do anything to the Expedition for 2007 much less an extended version.

This thing is a huge improvement over the old one, but the exterior could have gone even further.

Looks like all the rumors of the Everest were all wrong. I suppose using the Expedition name on the extended version is a smart marketing move, however.

May I repeat what I said in the spy shots thread? Ford would NEVER use the name Everest on an SUV.

I am not sure whether I like the headlights (it looks kinda like an afterthought). It may grow on me eventually.

I love the rest of it, and I would have to ask Ford to build some E85 flexible fuel, hybrid, and diesel models. It going to be more and more difficult to sell huge SUVs and better fuel flexibility for environment aware customers would be great.

Default Interior

While the exterior of this car is nothing special (basically a more cubic version of the F-series Heavy Duty with overtones of the Super Chief concept), the interior is something else!

I never thought I would be saying this about an interior of a Ford (let alone a Ford SUV), but this is one gorgeous interior! (steering wheel aside). It may be a rip-off of the basic architecture of the Range Rover (nomen omen Land Rover is owned by Ford), but that's only a good thing - the original is one of the best interiors currently in production. So while I am sure it's not all soft plastics and the brushed metal/wood are all fake, it looks tons better than... well, any interior of any Ford on the market, european ones included!

Congratulations Ford! (P.S. I still don't like your SUVs, but I could even consider renting this one, which says a lot!)
