FUN FACT: a search on google.com for "vurig" shows that this thread is the third most popular site out of approximately 433,000. i think that's pretty sweet.

I've been wanting to redraw the Vurig for a while now. The original never came out quite how I wanted it to, and I figured I'd give it another go. These drawings were a bit too small for me to give them details like the last Voltaire drawing I did, but overall they are closer to what I had in mind. Enjoy!

Vurig Powers Into 2nd Model Year With Minimal Changes

In its second year as a car manufacturer, fledging company JC has seen a marvelous year. The Vurig was the company's vanguard, but it was heralded by a plethora of stunning concepts, such as the Volant and the SpeedCell, not to mention the unveiling of the next JC vehicle, the powerful and stunning Voltaire.

The car that brought JC into the spotlight powers on 2007 largely unchanged. It will enjoy a base price drop, decontenting and repackaging. The base price drops from $35,000 to a deal-breaker $31,000. The base car now comes with the eight-spoke 17" wheels pictured on the bottom car (five spoke 18" wheels are available). Other items which have become optional to drive the base price down are such luxuries such as full-leather seats (an alcantara/leatherette combination is standard), power seats, sunroof, and other assorted items (Xenon headlamps are still standard). A new option for the Vurig is a state of the art navigation system. The base Vurig will still come with the amazing 3.3L 280 hp engine and stellar AWD. Also, a new Sports Package is available, with lightweight 19" five-spoke wheels (G-Games, provided by Volk, pictured in the top vehicle), brakes from the Vurig R, a race-tuned sports suspension, a very subtle front and rear spoiler, more supportive seats and 20 more horsepower (up to 300). The sports package will cost $5000 more than the base vehicle, effectively making the sports package the same price as last year's base model (trading sunroof, power seats, and leather for more power).

The price drop and repackaging make the Vurig a more attractive choice in the highly competitive sports sedan game than ever.

It's a pretty car, and I like it alot... I just really, really..really don't like how you're using the introduction of that car almost as if it's a real company but... it's not.

It really get's on my nerves, sorry if I'm prejudice here.

SV does it, knihc2008 does it and I do it. It makes it seem more realistic and most members gere actually favour that. But it's just one man's opinion.

Haha, it's all good 6Speed. It's something that we do a lot over here at CSS. I don't like to present my designs as just shells or lines on a paper; I like to see them take shape as a real car, with purpose and with the intent of it being a real car, or a real concept car. I think it gives them more substance and explanation. I want you guys to know what I think was wrong with my design when I first drew it a year ago, and what I think I did wrong with the finer points of the vehicle, like the wheels, the pricing, the pacakaging, and the specs. Form always follows function; you can't present a design without telling the audience the function it performs.
