The little we can see is not unattractive. And mainstream family sedans (the upper end of which is probably at the lower end of the 2-series et al) have gotten so (unnecessarily) big that I can see this being popular w/ the young and upwardly mobile or the older empty nesters who haven't yet discovered how much easier it is to get into/out of a crossover....

It will suffer from the same issue the previous gen X4 suffered from, too short wheelbase for a coupe suv, making it look squished and frumpy.

I would have bought this car if it wasn't a **** ass fwd compromise. BMW is dead to me. Oh, or AWD either (Ha!).

Nonsense!
The GTI proves that FWD can be astoundingly competent. The Focus ST also proved that. The better question is whether BMW has cured the "darty' nature of the Mini's FWD platform.
