Yawn. Seeing how this has turned out makes me care very little that the standard Golf won't be sold in the U.S.

The rear end now looks more like BMW. Otherwise, you will likely need to look twice to spot the differences....

This looks better now without the camo.
But still disappointing coming from the concepts VW has been pushing. The headlights are needlessly fussy (why does it need to bump down instead of stay a single clean shape?)

And yes, VW is insane not to sell the normal Golf here. What an absolute idiotic yet unsurprising move.

The face is ugly. It has always astounded me that VW can make a very compelling GTI and yet the Golf shares none of that goodness. I'm glad the standard Golf isn't coming here.
