Default 2020 Honda FIt/Jazz

https://www.carscoops.com/2019/03/20...-new-interior/

The next generation FIt/Jazz testing and looking quite ready, and it seems it dials a step back in design weirdness, which likely is a good thing; It keeps it#s mini MPV profile, but the front end looks now again more like the well regarded (and IMO way more attractive than the currnet model) second gen.; Look at the pics closely, and it is obvious that one prototype is a lifted cross version, which should not come as a surprise nowadays....

Inside, there is a tablet with a volume knob (thank god), and an other wise flat dash theme with digital instruments, likely inspired by the small EV;

A Honda without the customary Honda ugliness of ridiculous body sculpting and the gaping hole face??? How is that possible/

I own the current generation car, and I'm excited to see how they can improve on what I consider a brilliant little vehicle (yeah, it's no oil painting).

Digging what I see of this already, both outside and inside.

I hope it keeps the practicality of the current generation, its magic seat as well as its simplicity.

Wonder what we'll see under the hood.

This looks good overall. Very "utility first" which is always welcome among the segment (what the car has been front the beginning anyway).

A shift back to the previous gen maybe with those larger headlamps. I'm afraid of how the grille will be detailed though. It looks a bit like the previous gen MMC Accord face... I quite like the face of the current model.

The steering wheel looks pulled from the new urban EV, on a side note.

Looks plausible:

Also a mooted Type R. The render is very much like the former. I believe the cars have been seen in the flesh.

For the US market, replacing the Fit and the ugly HRV with a new crossover that borrows the look of the new EV would be great.

Honda has stated that they remain committed to the lower end of the market, and the Fit has a following of sorts.

I'm hopeful they'll continue to offer it here, as it would be t the top of my list if I needed to replace my car.

The problem is that as a mainstream seller, it does poor volume. If Honda went with a product that was more what the market wants for the price, sales would go way up. Even in its death year, the Fiesta outsold the Fit. So much for a dedicated following.
