I'd rather have Jeep's so-so quality than Alfa-Romeo's abysmal variety. The Alfas have some intense electrical issues and the GC's wiring harness and related components are likely to have a lot of commonalities.

The wiring harness might still be widely different, given it will likely use mostly the Pentastar V6 and (hopefully) the V8 (both engines not used at Alfa, plus their different infotainment system), so maybe/likely only the 2.0 Petrol Turbo might be shared, and so far (at least in Europe) that engine seems rather trouble free. I doubt it would get worse than before.

This looks to be a refresh on par w/ normal FCA updates. I'm expecting something visually very similar w/ a 'look it's brand new' marketing spin.

Honestly, I'm totally fine with that. The GC, with minor tweaks, has managed to stay relatively fresh despite it's age.

Incremental upgrades have kept them alive thus far -but they really need some innovation to keep them standing appart

Innovation would be nice, but I'd settle for modernization with a quest for Toyota quality.

New, modern, quality renditions of the Grand Cherokee, Challenger, and Charger would work wonders.

Cutting platform deals is necessary because the garbage from Fiat and the less-than-adequate Giorgio platform aren't enough to save the day.

I'd phone up Hyundai.

Agree...an improvement in QC would be huge. I thought the GC was decent in that regard? At least better than the rest of the Jeep lineup.

With big competition coming (Bronco / Baby Bronco being two) - they need something to differentiate themselves beyond the existing Jeep brand attributes. I don't know what that is - but it needs to be something.

How about offering it with 700hp?

lol

I though they already offered the Hellcat GC?

This said - those types of options have worked well for FCA thus far -but it's the type of solution that is what I'd call incremental updates as best.

Plus, they really got to start focusing on fuel economy, or continue to pay Tesla big cash to use their emissions credits.

This looks like relatively all new to me, not a refresh. Probably not a radical departure from Jeep designs, but more upright grille, longer/stretched hood and windshield. DLO looking less boxy.

I wouldn't expect just a new face like what FCA did with the Charger and Challenger.
