Default 2020 BMW 4-Series (bimmer)

We did not have a thread for the coupe or even the cabrio, so here is the coupe finally testing. Feels like a smaller 8 series in shape

This will be one of those refreshes that BMW will call a bold change but which no once will be able to see a difference from the current car. This will be more losing from BMW.

Nothing particularly new here, but there are more photos:

It's lost the fluidity that used to characterize BMW coupes and honestly could be a Mercedes. Although that's also b/c Mercedes coupes now look more like a BMWs, too.... Boring.

It seems like the 8 Series style that makes it look like a bloated ungainly copy of a Mustang has been made even more ungainly here.

Sadly, I was getting a lot of Mustang vibes from this, too.... Last-gen Mustang vibes.

Everytime I see a new 8 series (which, frankly, is not that often, doesn't seem to exactly fly off the dealer lots), I think it looks like a Mustang with an ungainly body kit; In flesh even more so than on pics; It#s fun, as the first generation 8 series was often mocked in it's home market for looking too much like the much cheaper Opel Calibra;

As much as BMW usually has a hit with their small and mid sized sedans, and tend to nail them, the coupes have somehow never been their forte, never doing as well as say Mercedes. I will exclude the E47 and 92 coupes, tehy were gorgeous, but even the now iconic 6 series form teh 70ies didnt really sell that well back then;

I had never heard of the Calibra b/f. The resemblance is indeed... uncanny.
