Well at least it seems that Nissan is listening to you: They will partner up with Mercedes and build their interpretation of the BMW/Toyota Supra; So a sports car, with up to 450hp, and no CUV. But still not tomorrow.

And it will be a colossal sales disaster like the current one.

A rather exciting rumor, and one that makes sense. I do wonder, however, what MB model this would be. Perhaps a hard-top succcesor to the SLC? Or a mini AMG GT?

Technically it could just be a shortened C-Class platform, but I guess as long as there is a BMW Z4 and Audi TT, Mercedes will have a small sort of sports car as well. Ofcourse calling it an AMG would enable a higher pricing/better image than the "girly" SLK/SLC (still think the renaming was stupid), so it could make sense....

This product has become a stain of the Z legacy.

Either come out w/ the product people want - or put it to death. It's remarkable how long Nissan is milking this design...just deplorable. And I say this noting that the early 1990's Z was / is a thing of beauty w/ a timeless design. If I could find a decent used one - I'd buy in a heart beat.

Nissan are all over the shop regarding the Z replacement. The rumors regarding its replacement have been going on for years and are now beyond yawn inducing:

The supra earned it's reputation in it's last generation but I am beginning to have the same fears while still hodling out hope.
