Default 2019 Subaru Forester

2019 Subaru Forester teased and to debut in New York:

The styling already looks clumsy.

RAV4 and paste in the horrid boxer engine and you have pretty much what this will be.

Likely a leak; If true, this is Audi levels of evolution....

It looks worse than the current model. Subaru are hopeless.

Looks like a RAV4 with a dull nose.

To me it looks like the current car with a slightly newer/different nose (pretty much what the Audi A6 looks like):

For me, Subarus reached the peak of their design a few years back (the mid 2000s Legacy, a real looker, the 3rd gen Forester), and since then, design hasn't moved on, but just added creases and weird details. They would deserve a full overhaul in the design department----

Is Subaru broke, or do they actually think their cars look contemporary?

They're making a lot of $. Given how risk averse nearly every business has become, I imagine it's hard for them to take a risk w/ styling when their designs are so... recognizable.

Paranoidgarlicklover, I think you're exactly right.

What annoys me is Subaru's persistence with CVTs. Great cars, completely ruined.
