Default 2015 Ford Edge

Well that didn't take long after the most recent spy shots:

They need to move on from that ubiquitous gauge cluster though...

They got their act together once they realized you were on to them. :)

On first impression seems like a good effort. Very restrained by Ford standards. I think it will appeal to those who were turned off by the Escape.

Although they recycled the gauge cluster from the Fusion, the rest of the interior looks good. It's cleaner and simpler than the Escape, but where are the knobs like on the MKC?

Haha that must be it. FORD, if you're listening, refresh the Explorer now too please, beyond the trim level you recently showed us and give us a new Taurus. :)

Not just this generation's Fusion either, since that was a variation on the last-gen Fusion Hybrid's gauges. Autoblog's impressions mention that they aren't touch-capacitive anymore, so I think they're buttons but it's just difficult to see in any interior pics as of yet.

Oh I like that! It keeps the original Edge's dynamic look while adding a little more refinement and class. The Sport is even sexier now, too! The interior is niiice, however I see a bit of inspiration from Lincoln flowing in - awkward!

Also, one can only assume that the Euro-spec headlight cluster looks more upscale that what's shown, because after seeing those jewel like tail lights they're a bit of a let down!

Color me impressed. The front is predictable, but handsome. The rear is where it really shines though. A LOT of Evos inspiration. The sport trim looks practically like a concept with the quality of those lighting elements and the single bar reflector.

Huge home run! Tasteful like the first Edge but so much more interesting to look at. This will be a killer success and a great reason NOT to buy the homely Explorer.
