Ugly as sin, but undoubtedly fast as f...

Shame McLaren can't reconcile beauty and efficiency in their designs. I concur with what Levi said, past the F1 and MP4-12C (barely though for me), there's nothing remotely desirable in their styling and design.

I really dont see what the fuss is about. Its exaggerated McLaren styling from a company known to put function over form.

And apparently ugly over beauty.

exactly. i have never found a McLaren to be beautiful and this is no exception. They're always cool looking and functional, but never beautiful like a Ferrari can be.

I wouldn't put the words 'Ferrari' and 'beautiful' in the same sentence after the abominations they produced in the noughties / 00s. The 360, F430, 612 Scaglietti and Enzo were more than questionable designs and aren't aging well at all. It only started to look a lot better once all these models were phased out and replaced with their successors.

But hey, each to his own...

There is a problem with this design, depending on how you slice it :

The lower door windows might discourage a good dickslap for those who prefer such things in privacy.

To be fair, the quote was that Ferraris CAN be beautiful, not that they are always invariably beautiful. ;)

I also don't get the controversy over the design. As long as the ugliness serves a purpose, then it's very much in keeping w/ the ethos of the company, no?
