I don't think Ford has actually confirmed anything yet, apart from cancelling the redesign program (which was in the very early stages I'm guessing) and not confirming production plans. I still think there will be a next-generation Fusion, but it may not be a conventional sedan.

especially when you ignore the lower weird portion of the Terrain's headlights
The headlights made me think Terrain too, didn't realize the grilles were so similar also. Interesting, but I think probably a coincidence.

Funny. I thought Buick Encore when I saw the lights. The LED pipes are similar.

At the end of the day, itís just another ubiquitous crossover. Nothing exciting.

What about the Fusion do you find overwrought?

THAT is what I'm afraid of. BUT the Fusion won't be built in Hermosillo or in China, so they'd have to move tooling.

The prev generation aston martin mimic styling, combined with the numerous crease lines running down the hood and flanks. Such a heavily styled vehicle, sold in large quantities and also to private and rental fleets can get very stale very quickly, in my opinion.

Dont get me wrong, the overall shape is fabulous and Ford did such a good job with this generation that it must die to make room for an even better one.
