Default Accident

i had a minor run in with a deer this evening. although the damage isn't bad..it bothers me because i only got the car on September 26th, and already its got to be fixed. my cousin was in the car with me, and he noticed the deer first and screamed "deer!" so i look up, slam on the brakes, try to avoid it, but it decideds to turn around and run towards my car. now when i turn the wheel to the right it rubs, and my airbag light is on. to make things even better, my dad hit a deer yesterday morning on his way to work with his silverado. my insurance company isn't even going to believe this lol. i probably need at least a new fender, and a new headlight, possibly a new bumper..but we'll see.

ill try to get better pics in the morning.

Sorry to here of your accident dude, certainly looks bad. Don't know if it's worth trying the hairdryer and Co2 trick on the dent (see the video DoMiNo posted on the car vandalised thread).

Hope the insurance can sort it out for you!

Ouch man. Doesn't look that bad though for a deer hit. Could have been a lot worse. I would hit the bumper with a 2x4 under the light so it gets replaced. Scuff the plastic. Doesn't look like it will get replaced since all the clips look intact.

the steel bumper looks like it kind of poked through the plastic bumper cover, and it looks like it's cracked, so hopefully they replace the whole thing...otherwise ill rip it off lol and say it fell off...worth a shot haha

so i met with my adjuster today, she quoted me at $1460 for the repairs. that included a fender, a headlight, fixing the bumper, and blending everything. that's at an insurance-approved shop. i stopped by the shop i want to have fix it, and he went over the estimate with me, my insurance adjuster had put down USED PARTS! hahah not on my brand new car. the autobody said he's going to bring the adjuster back and fix the car using new parts, and replacing the bumper instead. the car is scheduled to go in the 26th, but now the insurance company is giving me a hard time about a rental, because im under 21. i'll be 21 December 3, so if worse comes to worse, i'll wait an extra week before i get it fixed.
