Cool, didn't know this is basically a new LRV. I hope they offer the sliding rear seat like the JDM 2nd gen again. That looks kinda cool.

The pictures of the Fortis completely threw me off because I didn't know it was a Galant instead of a Lancer outside of Taiwan.

The RVR's taillamps make me think of the Accord/TSX Sport Wagon.

I really like it - the design looks a lot better resolved than the X1 and its more interesting than the Tiguan - however I think the facelift Qashqai and the new C-Max will give it a run for its money.

Anybody have any idea when the interior shots will be shown?

Is it being launched at a car show somewhere?

I wonder why they didn’t show it at Tokyo – surely it was ready then......

yes, the Space Wagon (Expo in the US and Chariot in Japan) was a 7 seater, while the RVR/Space Runner/Expo LRV seats 4

Mitsubishi is reviving a name from its past. The Japanese automaker’s all-new compact crossover, revealed previously in near-production trim as the Concept cX, will go on sale next spring in Japan, badged as the Mitsubishi RVR.

The lancer base, Nissan qasqai competitor will have a 1.8 liter MIVEC unit but the automaker did not mention anything about its capabilities. Design is clearly inspired by the “fighter jet” look seen on the latest Lancer GT and Outlander. The crossover measures about 4,300 mm long which is close to the Toyota RAV4’s 4,395 mm and Peugeot 3008’s 4,365 mm. Continue reading to view two high-res images of the RVR.

This new compact crossover will be released globally, including North America, Europe, and Asian regions including China
but India and Thailand remain to be seen.
