Tool has a different reasoning for not making their stuff digital though. They believe their songs lose quality when they are listened to digitally versus a cd. If you listen to how deep and layered their songs are, they do have a point...

I love Tool. Lateralus has to be in my Top 10 albums. But seeing then live was quite the disappointment. It wasn't even that they couldn't match the sound on their albums. They sound equally as epic when stripped down. But for some reason, I felt there was a lack of effort and perhaps heart going into the performance I saw.

I was actually going to mention that, if only because they follow 5 year cycles and the last album pas posted in 2006. Should be interesting.

I saw them live once, was thoroughly impressed by how they "switched it up" more than a few notches: this was in 2007.

Yeah but their songs play on the radio, which I think it's safe to say sounds worse....soooo...kind of a double standard.
