I don't think it will be. The chop is pretty bad, IMHO. I think the camo'd car is much more curvaceous and less gigantic-Fiesta....

Too bad the DLO is completely different from the actual car.

The chop is clearly based on a Fiesta, the prototype has a totally different A-pillar and proportions....

Default New pics

Two new Focus pics from the Dutch Autoweek site.
The first two are the Focus, there are other cars on there as well. Especially the one from the rear is revealing. Gives me a Volvo V40 vibe. I like it!

Dunno if it's the camo &/or angle, but it looks wiiiiiiide. My ST is big enough for a compact thanks Ford, if I wanted bigger I'd get a Mondeo. Still can't get on board with the "embigening" philosophy in automotive - it only works against any gains in efficiency and performance etc.

Design wise, looks rather mature for what's been a youthful candidate since inception.

Wide is good in my books, Mondeo doesn't come as a hatch anyway and most sales are of this variant for the Focus. There are a few cars under the Focus in Ford's lineup

I agree. Visually, the current Focus--especially in sedan form--looks narrow to me.

I get a Volvo vibe as well. Though I imagine overall shape will be pretty conventional, they're at least looking more interesting than the new Fiesta's lights.

I'm getting Mazda 3 vibes.

I never thought that the current Focus looked narrow. Thought it was well-proportioned. Only thing I didn't like was how swoopy it is/was.

Rather surprised at how cab-forward the new design is (even for a FWD car). Hopefully the interior will be simplified (I actually rather like the interior design language of the Fiesta).

It would not surprise me if the Focus sedan gets significantly larger and also the next Fusion a touch larger too with Ford using a two-car strategy for the mid-sized sedan market.

Currently, there is very little reason to buy a Focus when the Fusion can be had for similar money.

When I got my current Fusion I also considered a Focus sedan. The Focus was $24.5K and the Fusion was a hair under $26K and the options were virtually equal. The Fusion is much better for Dad's Taxi and hauling teenagers around.
