Default ---Unknown Prototypes in Spy pictures---

If you come across any prototypes in spy pictures, or you encounter any in real life and are not sure what they are, post the pictures or descriptions here. The members will do their best to help you identify the vehicle.

Which brings up this again:

The rear lights are different than the actual 3er design that can be see in the press pics. So what is it, 1er sedan? 3er wagon rear lights (unlikely but who knows), or just a different design for the sedan's lights which were rejected. But why a complete shell of the car then?

it doesnt neccessarily have to be a whole different shell, the only difference to the final design of the e90 is the rear bootlid/trunk which houses a section of the rear lights, so it could be a different design of the bootlid/trunk

Interesting... I'm pretty sure it's not a 1, but it doesn't look like the 3 either. Weird.

i still cant tell. it would be clearer if i could see that character line along the side of the body that goes the whole way on the shell. i think its just a reflection tho

I'm pretty sure it's just a 3. I think that BMW just did a slight rework of the design during the development. And as it seems it's really just the rear bootlid, that's different. A change like that isn't that difficult. And as it seems they used it for a crash test, maybe because they couldn't use the prototype for other purposes?

It's not a rare event that manufacturers change the design of their cars during the development, Mercedes did the same with the new M-Class.

Thanks to super secret low key reader Adrian Black for sending this in. This one is a ford pickup truck ... probably the next F150 or something.. It was totally hidden under the black vinyl. Sorry the picture isnt better, there wasnt any traffic and he was speeding away from me! They always try to get away from me. Yes its the monday afternoon after Christmas and I know everyone is bored. Anyone care to pontificate as to what unreleased vehicle this may be?

Its not the next gen F 150, thats way too early
