What is this? This is from autoblog and here's what they say

Its not the next gen F 150, thats way too early

My guess is that is the replacement for the Excursion. 2005 is the last year for Excursion production, to make room for more F250 and F350 trucks. To continue to compete with the Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV, Ford is bringing to market a stretched Expedition in 2007.

The front door frame is exactly the same as an Expeditions, and the rear wheels do not interfere with the rear door design (as the do on the Expedition), a quick visual clue as to whether or not you are looking at a Suburbon or a regular Tahoe.

Hi guys... im from GCF's,..but became rather intrigued at this "3er" spy pic.

After some long hard stares at little aspects of this bodyshell... i spotted a few differences, aside from the obvious differing lights.

I marked out a few of my observations..

A) Unlike the E90 3er which has a more smoother side merging with the bootlid... this bodyshell seems to have a more obtrusive style, ... which IMO signifies a more aggressive design.... ie: trying to look more "beefy".

B) While the new 3er's crease runs from the front wheel arch all the way to the rear light, this shell's crease ends just after the fuel-tank hatch.

C) If u compare the rear bumper split of the E90 3er, u will see that the 3er's line continues at the same angle as the shape of the rear light and then curves towards the rear wheel. Looking at the spy pic of this body shell, there is no curve, just a straight line from the bottom-right of the light compartment to the wheel arch.

My guess is as good as anyone's here..... so im guessing it might be the M3,..but that's just a long shot.

I just came back from Dubai, and I saw some car being tested in the city centre, in Deira area.

At first I thought it was covered in tape because it was some crap car about to fall to pieces, but I soon realised it was actually a prototype.

I have no pictures, because the camera was in the suitcase, and I was just coming from the airport.

It was a sedan (saloon), didn't have that much tape on it, except on the lights. I think it was a Hyundai, the front badge appeared to be a Hyundai logo, although they tried to cover it up by using yellow tape in the shape of a +, so i guess they were trying to make it look like a Chevrolet.

I've never seen a prototype before, so it was quite cool. Anyone know what it was?

you are right beemer boi, the changes are really extensive when compared to the E90
i'm gueesing this is either a very very early prototype or some new model (probably the 1er sedan but it does seem too large)
i'm baffled

Did anyone notice the large sticker on the top of the windshield and a piece of a front bumper inside the shell? These stickers are often used and put on crash cars.. I think this one's a crash shell from the 3 series.. Another thing I noticed is a opened hood and a piece of white on the dashboard.. Could be an airbag I guess..

edit: found a reliable picserver.. :D
